Lesson plans that meet national teaching standards have been designed to explore students understanding of West African Muslims to early American. The film tells the true story of Abdul Rahman, an African Prince who after enduring the brutal Middle Passage, eventually ended up in Mississippi during America's earliest days.  The film reveals one of the most well documented, yet seldom known about slave narratives, and the amazing journey of one man that went from the slave house to the White House and gained the support of America's most powerful businessmen and politicians. For a limited time, this film is free of charge to participating teachers.
