You can download these lesson plans, including a discussion guide by clicking on the links below. These lessons meet national teaching standards and they focus on three thematic areas:  Identity, Muslims in Early Americaand the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Materials are suitable for grade levels 9 through 12 in the subjects of history, geography, language arts, and arts. Two 50 minute class periods are typically required to cover the lesson plan.
